Rules and Expectations for the Library

 Passes may be given to students from their classroom teachers to use the media center. Passes need to specify the student’s name, purpose for using the media center, date/time, when to return, and teacher’s name. Students exhibiting improper behavior will be returned to class.

  Students may check out 3 books at a time for up to 2 weeks at a time.

  Students must be sure to return books to the book return slot at the circulation desk.

  Students must pay replacement costs for lost or damaged library materials.

  Students are expected to use computers in an ethical manner.

  Scheduled classes have precedence in using computers in the media center.

 Before leaving the media center, students are to make sure:

• ·       Their chairs have been pushed in
• ·       The materials they have been using have been returned to the place they were found
• ·       Any materials they wish to borrow have been checked out at the circulation desk
• ·       Any waste paper has been placed in the waste basket
• ·       Shelves they used are neat
• ·       They have been logged off the computers when using the computer lab.
