The purpose of the Miami ISD Hall of Fame is to recognize former Miami ISD Graduates. The original selection committee is given the task of selecting three members for the initial induction and then two members to be chosen every additional year. The selection committee is comprised of faculty, administration, community members who are graduates of Miami, and student council leaders. A ceremony will be held each spring in which the nominees are awarded plaques for their induction to the Hall of Fame. The nominees will have their photograph with a short biography placed in the Hall of Fame area in the school commons. read more
Miami ISD students and faculty will attend school on Friday, April 2 and Friday, May 7. These days were scheduled as bad weather days, but due to circumstances this year we have used both bad weather day. There early release scheduled for April 21 at 12:00 is now April 8 at 12:00. The JH District track meet is in Lefors on April 8 and cannot begin until the school day is over. The state has granted Miami ISD its instructional lost days waiver due to the fire in November.
