Social Studies and Drivers Education

Social Studies: 10/03/11 to 10/14/11

U.S. History: Chapter 5 Young Republic 1816 - 1848

We will discuss a growing nation, the Age of Jackson, and Manifest Destiny how they effected our history. Also we will do worksheets to reinforce these ideas.

6th Grade: Unit 3 Asia

Each Unit we will do maps of the region. We will discuss the major cities, culture, types of government, and short history of each region. We will do worksheets to reinforce and learn more information about each region.

Texas History: Chapter 5 Missions & Settlements

We will discuss the first missions, Spanish settlements, and building communities in Texas. Also we will do worksheets to reinforce these ideas.

Drivers Education: 10/03/11 - 10/12/11

We are finishing up the classroom part of the program.We are in the process of filling out our applications and DL-40 which have to be notarized. We will need these documents along with birth certificate and Social Security cards by Friday Oct. 7th. We will go to Pampa Oct. 12 to take the written test. The driving part of the class has changed and I will discuss this at a later date.
