Here We Go Again

Here we go again the 2010-2011 School year is off and running. So far it has been another  great year with the students of Miami ISD.  

I will be attempting to keep the web sight updated.  If you have something you would like to see on our sight please email me your idea and I will do my best to make it happen.

My classes will be:

6th Grade Keyboarding

Computers for high school and Odyssey.

Almost all, (if not all) students have their own lap top now.  We think we have all the bugs out and they are working nicely.

My students will do almost all of their work at school on the computer in the classroom.  The Computers Students will be writing computer programs and may have some homework, but it will be minimal.

The computers class room is somewhat less structured than most class rooms.  We do some group work and have to get up and move around at times.  All I ask of students is that they work hard on projects and Be respectful of Me and others and take care of the equipment.  Students will not be expected to take a computer home for my classes.  If there is homework it will be in a book to be done on paper with a pencil.

Computer students will learn a little bit of  JAVA computer programing language.  

6th Grade Keyboarding will teach all students the correct way to type and the correct fingers to use while typing.  We will also learn 10 key at the end of the year.
